The Portland area real estate market is picking up some momentum for the spring selling season.  February's activity was up significantly from January's though fewer new listings came on the market reducing the inventory to 2.7 months.  Average home prices continue to rise, but slower than in the past.  Interest rates remaining relatively low has encouraged buyers to start their home search early this year.
